Dinner Meeting:  Air Quality and Urban Infill Development

GUEST SPEAKER(S)

  • Larry Greene, Air Pollution Control Officer, Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District
  • Jeffrey Dorso, Diepenbrock Harrison
  • Brian Beveridge, West Oakland Indicators Project

PROGRAM TOPIC

Stop urban sprawl! Encourage brownfield development!  But don't put houses too close to freeways, ports or railyards!  Just, exactly, where does that leave us?  Helping us to navigate this no-man's land are three speakers with first-hand experience trying to weave a path through the thicket of urban development and air quality constraints.  We're pleased to welcome Larry Greene, Air Pollution Control Officer for the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District; Jeffrey Dorso with the Diepenbrock Harrison law firm (who worked on the Sacramento Railyards project); and Brian Beveridge of the West Oakland Indicators Project.  We can promise a lively and stimulating discussion.

Who should attend?

This event is organized by the Mother Lode Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association.  This event may be attended by students and their professors, and interested members and their colleagues.  We welcome representatives of regulatory agencies, academia, industry, community and environmental groups, and the consulting community.
