GUEST SPEAKER(S)

  • Kathleen Kozawa, Research Division, California Air Resources Board

PROGRAM TOPIC

This talk will give an overview of the ARB's mobile monitoring platform program based in southern California that uses an electric vehicle to measure an array of air quality parameters.  The measurements include on-road emissions, near-road exposures, and how these exposures have changed due to local and State regulations.  The talk will highlight some of the recent studies and findings.
Kathleen Kozawa received her doctorate in environmental science and engineering from UCLA in 2009.  Currently Kathleen is the lead staff for mobile platform measurement studies being conducted in southern California, which focus mainly on exposure assessment and vehicle emissions measurements.
